Arizona Residents Directory Is Not a Custodian. This is a private reference, not a government office. It cannot obtain a record, certify a copy, confirm a current address, or change a name in an Arizona database. Contact the office that keeps the record for those tasks. For an emergency, call 911. If someone is stalking or harassing you, contact local police.

Where to Ask for Arizona Records

Use the office that keeps the type of Arizona record you need:

Historical record help: Arizona State Research Library, Reading Room at the Polly Rosenbaum Archives and History Building, 1901 W. Madison St., Phoenix, AZ 85009. Call 602-926-3870. The Reading Room is generally open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., except state holidays; archival research requires an appointment. Archive appointments are listed for 8:30 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The State Library's City Directory and Newspaper Research Request form accepts a city, name or business, a known address, and a year. For deeds, tax rolls, court files, or current records, send the request to the relevant Arizona county or state custodian instead.
